From the dock to the doorstep, one accountable chain
Daily linehaul across the Otay Mesa crossing into San Diego, then multi-carrier last-mile selected by cost and speed. 1–3 day delivery to most U.S. addresses.
How does cross-border last-mile delivery work?
Orders are consolidated at the Tijuana facility and moved by daily linehaul across the Otay Mesa commercial crossing to injection points in San Diego, six miles north. From there parcels enter U.S. carrier networks with domestic tracking, reaching most addresses in one to three days.
What is a carrier injection point and why does it lower cost?
An injection point is where parcels enter a carrier's network in bulk, close to the destination region, skipping upstream zones. Injecting at San Diego rather than shipping from a distant warehouse removes shipping zones, which cuts parcel cost and transit time to the western United States.

Frequently asked questions
How long does cross-border delivery take?
Most U.S. orders arrive in one to three days. Western states are typically one to two days from the San Diego injection point; East Coast destinations take three to five, depending on the carrier service selected. Linehaul across the border runs daily.
Who manages customs on the crossing?
Customs clearance is coordinated as part of the operation, under a single point of contact, so the brand is not left to manage brokers directly. Documentation moves with the daily linehaul to keep the crossing predictable.
Does the customer see that a parcel came from Mexico?
No. Parcels enter U.S. carrier networks at San Diego and carry standard domestic tracking from that point. The delivery experience matches any U.S.-based operation.
How does last-mile carrier selection work?
Each parcel is rated across multiple carriers and the best option is chosen by cost and speed for that destination and service level. Multi-carrier selection avoids over-paying a single carrier for every zone.
Does fulfilling from Mexico change duty costs?
U.S. import duties apply when goods enter the United States, the same as any import. Under IMMEX, Mexican duties are deferred while goods remain in Mexico. Deferral applies to the Mexican side only.
Can freight scale for peak season?
Yes. Linehaul capacity and carrier allocation are planned against forecast, so cross-border movement and injection hold up through Q4 and promotional peaks rather than bottlenecking at the border.
What happens if the border crossing is delayed?
Manifests and documentation are prepared ahead of the daily linehaul to minimize dwell, and the operation monitors crossing conditions. Because a single team owns consolidation, customs coordination and injection, exceptions are managed in one place.
How long does it take to start a freight program?
Most programs are live within six weeks of contract signature. A named account contact is assigned at kickoff and integration runs in parallel with inventory transfer.
